Amarkai
Laryea, Research Program Officer
Amarkai Laryea holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor
of Civil Law degrees from McGill University, Montreal,
Canada. He has worked for the International Law Divison
of the Ministry of Justice in Accra, Ghana assisting
on Ghana's Country Report to the United Nations under
the International Covenant on Civil and Political
Rights. He has a strong interest in Labor Law and
its intersection with Regional Trade Agreements. In
2002 he assisted Professor Adelle Blackett of McGill
University on Canadas Report to the International
Society for Labor Law and Social Security on fundamental
rights and rights at work. In 2003-2004, he will be
working with the Legal Services of the Canada Industrial
Relations Board. He is fluent in written and oral
English and French; fluent in oral Ga; and has a basic
working understanding of Spanish.
